The Objects Registry

TS004.004:2008 - UTMC Objects Registry supersedes TS004.003:2007 - UTMC Objects Registry. It presents the data standards recommended for use by UK Traffic Managers in their systems. Details are provided in normative annexes.

This document should be used in conjunction with the other main repository of UTMC technical recommendations, namely the TS003 02:2008 - The UTMC Framework Technical Specification. TS004 is under continuous review and update, while TS003 is not likely to be updated for 2-3 years.

The UTMC Objects Registry is available to all those with an interest in specifying, developing or integrating UTMC component systems.

What is the UTMC Objects Registry?

The Registry provides format standards for shared data (ie data communicated between applications of a UTMC system, or between a UTMC system and an external system) through:

  • holding definitions of current UTMC Objects, and making them available to users;
  • receiving submissions for potential new UTMC Objects, and coordinating consultation as necessary;
  • facilitating contact between Object developers;
  • advising on changes needed to potential new UTMC Objects;
  • registering new UTMC Objects.

It also provides some guidance on how to configure the exchange of data.

UTMC UML model in XMI format

The file below has been prepared by Mott Macdonald using MagicDraw UML(TM). It represents the UTMC UML data model (Annex D to TS004) in XMI format. It is available for free download and use.
