| UP/081 | Common database | The Amey Common Database provides a secure repository for the storage and exchange of UTMC data objects, as defined in Annexe D of the “UTMC Objects Registry” (TS004.002.2005). Other UTMC subsystems; such as UTC, VMS, car parks and Incident Management, etc. connect to the Common Database as a central resource for monitoring and control of all UTMC assets. Data objects within the Common Database can be easily extended to keep pace with future developments of the “UTMC Objects Registry”. Connection to the Amey Common Database is available using the standard CORBA interfaces defined for UTMC in the “Framework Technical Specification” (TS003:2005) and in Annexe F of the “UTMC Objects Registry”. All features of the UTMC CORBA specification; including session management, SQL statement execution, subscription and notification services and a client heartbeat mechanism are fully supported by the Amey Common Database.
