UTMC Development Group (UDG)

Introduction to UDG

A key element within the Department for Transport (DfT) Urban Traffic Management and Control (UTMC) Programme was to facilitate the development and implementation of UTMC systems by establishing an UTMC Development Group (UDG) of stakeholders.

Following an announcement at the 6th UTMC Annual Conference in December 2002, a plenary meeting to elect the Local Authority led Management Group, and to agree the UDG terms of reference took place in London on Thursday 6 February 2003. A UTMC Suppliers Forum (USF) was subsequently established to work closely with the policy driven UDG Management Group.
